Lauren & Josh-Engaged!

Lauren & Josh-Engaged!

Whenever possible I offer wedding clients an engagement photo session. It allows all of us to get to know each other better. They become more comfortable with me, and I have a better understanding of how they respond in front of the camera. By the time the wedding day arrives, we’re like old friends-and that shows in the photos!

I had a great day with Lauren & Josh. Although it was late January, the temperatures were near 60 degrees on Long Island’s South Shore. The sun was shining and the wind was calm-let’s hope the weather is that lovely on their September wedding day!

Here are some of my favorites:

Baby Chicks and Little Girls

It’s time to shake off the sluggishness of winter and get ready to welcome spring to our corner of the world! What better way than gathering some precious babies-gorgeous little girls who met some baby chicks for the first time. I’m so glad their mom invited me to capture the moment! It’s Easy Being Green

Kermit the frog aside, these days going green is becoming easier and easier. Back when Kermit sang his song, being green really wasn’t easy, thankfully those days are behind us. More and more products and services in all industries are using earth-friendly processes, which is definitely a good thing.

In fact we at Vivid Visions Photo think it’s great thing.  This isn’t a debate about global warming, but reminder that conservation of our resources, environmental and financial are the smart and right thing to do. As a photographer, I want to see the beautiful vistas of seascapes, landscapes and wildlife remain as the backdrop for my photos. And conserving our natural resources is the way to do it.

There is a TV personality who likes to say “Just One Thing” when referring to the difference we can make as we figure out how to minimize the negative impacts of human activity on our natural environment.

Vivid Visions, we have done a few things, such as using recycled content materials for our products and supplies, and recycling our used materials. In fact, we have positioned ourselves as leaders in this effort to green the way we conduct business, and we are very proud to be certified members of Greener Photography, and the Green Bride Guide. For details, look for the badges in our sidebar.

So as you plan your wedding or your next family portrait sitting, I hope you will consider taking a walk on the greener side with us.  You’ll see how easy it is to be green.
