About Judy McCleery

New York Freelance photographer and public relations specialist Judy McCleery launched Vivid Visions Photo-Graphics to offer photographic services along with typesetting, graphic design and public relations services.

During the past 20 years, Judy has worked in various capacities in the print and broadcast media, as well as in local government, where she has polished her skills and talents in the communication arts. This background allows Judy to offer a full menu of public relations services to her customers, while at the same time providing personalized attention that many similar companies are unable to deliver. But, Judy is most passionate about photography, as anyone who knows her can attest. With her camera always by her side, she is ever ready for that "Kodak© Moment."

Her pursuit of photography began as a hobby when she was still a child, using her sister's Polaroid camera until her parents bought her first camera for her: a Kodak© pocket instamatic. Today, Judy still uses first SLR camera, a Minolta Maxxum 7000i. However, with the explosion of digital photography in recent years, she is more likely to reach for her Konica-Minolta digital SLR, the Maxxum 7D. In fact, Judy now specializes in digital photography and imaging, where she enjoys greater control over the finished product of her work.

Her favorite subjects are usually found in the great outdoors, where wildlife and scenic landscapes catch her eye. But she also enjoys photographing people, especially in unguarded moments, where their true personalities shine through the lens. Her portrait and special event photography has been described as captured with "an artistic eye," and her graphic design and typesetting work has been described polished and unique.
